Refund Policy

Last updated October 23, 2026. These are the refund rules for an @teton.id address.

Draft for counsel. This policy is written for the Teton Mail service and is meant to be reviewed by a lawyer before you take live payments or store real mail. It is not legal advice.

1. What this covers

This policy is part of the Terms of Service. It explains when a payment to Teton Mail is returned. The checkout on this website draft does not take payment, so there is nothing to refund from a preview order.

2. First term, 14 days

You may request a full refund of the first payment for an account within 14 days of that payment if all of the following are true:

  • It is your first refund request for that customer account.
  • The account is not suspended or under review for an Acceptable Use Policy violation, a spam complaint, payment fraud, or a legal hold.
  • You write to billing@teton.id from the account email, or use the billing control on the account page once it is live, and you include the @teton.id address and the charge date.

When we approve the refund, we release the address. It can be offered to someone else after that.

3. Renewals

A renewal is not refunded once the new term has started. Cancel before the renewal date if you do not want the next charge. The address then stays assigned until the term you already paid for ends.

If a mandatory consumer law in your country gives you a stronger or longer right than this policy, that law controls.

4. Yearly and monthly billing

Yearly billing is a single prepaid term of $300. The 14-day rule applies to the first yearly payment. After day 14 we do not refund unused months. The 14-day rule applies to the first monthly payment of $30 only. Later monthly charges are not refunded once they succeed.

5. Partial periods

There is one price. We do not prorate unused days, except under section 2 or a mandatory law.

6. Abuse, fraud, and chargebacks

We do not refund accounts closed for spam, phishing, malware, payment fraud, or any other breach of the Acceptable Use Policy. If you file a chargeback, we may suspend the address until the dispute ends, and we may close the account if the chargeback is not reversed.

7. If we cannot assign the address

If we take a live payment and cannot assign the address, we refund that charge in full.

8. How the money returns

Approved refunds go back to the original payment method when the processor allows it. The time to appear on your statement depends on the processor and your bank. We aim to answer refund requests within 5 business days. Tax we collected on a refunded charge is refunded with it when the processor can return the tax.

9. Changes

We may update this policy by posting a new version here. The version in effect on the day you paid applies to that charge.
